What does it feel like after the rain? Can we sing like a mourning dove? How can we keep the colors of the sunset? From sun up to sun down- what can we see, hear, and touch?

behold is an opera for the very young that captures and amplifies the grandness of our everyday lives. Over the course of a day, Celeste and Fern awaken, explore, and experience a sunrise, birds, a rainstorm, sunset and moonrise. The ensemble of performers - on vibraphone, clarinet, percussion, and voice - guide little ones and caregivers in performance, play, and a sensory experience. 

 

behold is an interactive experience in and around Kerfuffle's intimate yurt dome.

Kerfuffle is proud to be the company-in-residence at Writers Theatre for their 2025-26 season. behold will be shared through open rehearsals in January and workshop performances in March.
